Linda has a VAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is a 2003 Dodge Grand Caravan.
It has a Braun conversion with a fold out ramp and only 44k miles on it. The handicap lift was recently serviced by the previous owner, the tires are about 60% tread remaining the front pads appear to be better then 70% remaining. The van has a power lift gate, power sliding passenger door, power windows, locks, dual air, a power driver's side seat and dropped floor.
We picked the van up for Ray and Linda over the weekend. I had the oil changed, a new remote programmed, replaced the driver's side window regulator and serviced the chassis prior to delivering the vehicle. We did remove the passenger seat so for the first time in many years Ray and Linda could sit next to each other while traveling, you should have seen the smiles. They did take their very first trip in the van together on 03-26-2013 and dropped me off on their way to Rudy's (a great place for brisket and ribs). I believe that this was the first time in over 6 months that they have been able to go out together.
I hope that this van will be one that will last them for an extended period. I did manage to get all of their expenses outside of the title and licence fees, in the amount that was donated to their cause. And yes that did include their taxes on the vehicle, however after a car wash I was only able to put $30.00 in the tank, but at least it wasn't empty.. I was expecting to receive a couple of donations that were mailed. If that is the case I will apply them to a trust fund to perform any repairs down the road. Also if any additional donations come in for Ray and Linda I will gladly add them to their trust.
Thank you to everyone who has been so kind to help a family out.
God bless you all.
